Act now!

This is a critical period for Cactus Cafe fans and supporters to act — whether you are a student, alum, musician or concerned citizen. UT Vice President of Student Affairs, Juan González, is currently reviewing proposals of operating models for the Cactus Cafe. One of these involve a hybrid management, which would destroy its fundamental character. González is to make a final decision “promptly” after the end of the open comment period, which was on May 7.

If you are interested in saving the Cactus Cafe, you need to ACT NOW. Here are some things you can do now:

Give

Make a donation to help fund the Save the Cactus Cafe campaign and to support the Cactus once it is saved. Your money will go to cover our expenses and, when we are successful, to supporting the Cactus Cafe and educational and cultural programs there. (Give now.)

Alumni: Close Your Checkbook

Join the UT alumni campaign to withhold contributions to UT until the University agrees to keep the Cactus Cafe open in a manner that preserves its fundamental character. (More…)
